IT On-Site Support Technician

WSP is currently hiring an IT On-Site Support Technician to support our project delivery capability across multiple projects in Qatar.
Your new role, what’s involved?
I provide technical support across our company; in person, remotely or over the phone.
I resolve employee issues and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Respond to IT incidents and requests at my main office location and during visits to site offices in the Middle East.
I provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution, and recovery for hardware/software problems.
Monitor, report and contribute to the resolution of problems related to shared IT services (audio/video, printers, Wifi, cabling, networking, etc.)
I prepare and replace computer workstations, and decommission computers as per the established processes.
I troubleshoot technical faults and work with external vendors and service providers to achieve fault resolutions when required.
I direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
Identify and document recurring problems and make recommendations for corrective measures, as well as participate in their implementation when possible.
I rigorously maintain the inventory of IT assets in the CMDB.
Participate in various IT projects including the IT scope of office relocation and renovation projects.
Develop collaborative relationships with office managers to better understand their IT challenges and work with the IT leader to address these needs as effectively as possible.
I propose improvements to our systems, processes, and the way the IT support team operates in order to improve our service to the business.
Lead IT induction sessions with a group of new employees to explain where they can find support resources and how to use our systems.
Guide and train employees on best practices whenever possible and needed.
Develop collaborative relationships with employees to personalize and improve the service.
Contribute to the documentation of IT incident resolution processes.
Participate in the development of long-term strategies and planning for the future needs of IT services.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
I have at least 5 years of experience in IT service delivery within a large Enterprise class organization, with a minimum of two of those years in a similar IT support team leader role.
I have strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, with experience supporting a range of hardware and software.
I have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products in an Active Directory environment and
expertise in Active Directory user management.
I am highly skilled in the Microsoft 365 suite, as well as in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS operating systems.
Experience in Active Directory, and Windows server and networking technologies such as DNS, and DHCP.
I grasp technical concepts and principles quickly and am always looking to update my knowledge and skills as technology advances.
I have excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss technical issues in simple non-technical terms.
I am excellent in both written and spoken English.
I am customer-focused, with the ability to provide a high level of service to internal customers.
Excellent organizational skills and able to apply clear thinking and structure to my daily way of working.
Able to travel to the project site offices as frequently as required and occasionally to other Middle East regional offices.
I am ITIL certified and have an in-depth understanding and experience of the ITIL framework.
Experience and knowledge of ServiceNow.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Degree or certificate in computer science or other computer-related discipline.
I can work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team member in the accomplishment of goals.

WSP Middle East are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to provide operationally sound advice and support to management in relation to a broad range of commercial and contractual tasks on a high-level infrastructure construction supervision project, based in Qatar
Your new role, what’s involved?
Manage the commercial administration of the Project in compliance with the
Authority /PMC Project commercial administration procedures.
Manage the checking of the Contractor’s interim payment applications.
Monitoring of the Contractor’s control over time and cost in accordance with the Construction Contract.
Review and address all Contractor’s/Client’s variations and claims and provide a written response to the
SRE.
Advise the Engineer on contractual issues as they arise.
Identity cases where claims may be a potential or imminent possibility and notify the Engineer of the same.
Study and prepare reports providing recommendations to the Engineer on claims submitted by the Contractor for Relief of Cost.
Manage the change management process including preparing the Business Case for the change for Client approval and preparing Site Instructions for issue by the Engineer.
Study, prepare, and provide recommendations for Variation Orders
Manage the maintenance of variation and claims logs.
Chair biweekly Commercial Meetings and prepare minutes.
Chair ad-hoc meetings to discuss claims.
Provide Input to Monthly Progress Reporting as required.
Participate in Monthly Progress Meetings with the Contractor/Engineer/Authority as required.
Interface with other construction supervision team members to meet overall program deliverables.
Manage the Commercial Team by allocating specific sections of the work to meet the needs of the programme, mentoring and training to ensure competence levels match the needs of the project, and reviewing staffing levels
Study contractual correspondence issued by the Contractor and prepare responses.
Review draft correspondence prepared by construction supervision team members and upgrade for
issue.
Input to KPI scoring and Risk management and reporting
Manage the record-keeping and time sheet approval process to support submission of consultant fee notes to the Client
Other day to day project delivery issues allocated by the SRE.

Sound knowledge of the contract administration aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities.
Good technical awareness of major road and infrastructure construction techniques.
Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited internationally recognized
university
Professional qualified and chartered by a recognized International Professional Body e.g. MRICS, MCIOB
Experience in international contracting forms, FIDIC or FIDIC-based bespoke forms
Minimum twenty (20) years managing major infrastructure projects
Experience in claims and dispute resolution methods
Fluency in the English language both written and spoken
Computer literacy
Middle East Experience preferred
