Full Details of Voco Doha Jobs 2023

•Ensure that the hotel’s standards of cleanliness, hygiene, security and presentation are in maintained all assigned rooms.
•Perform cleaning duties in guest apartments in accordance with the status or the guest’s stay.
•Inspect and clean all facilities, furniture and fixtures, and report any damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping coordinator, for action and follow up.
•Attend to guests’ requests and queries courteously and promptly in the course of performing duties.
•Complete all information on the Allocation Sheet for all assigned rooms, marking status, linen replaced and special requests.
•Complete the Allocation sheet with the time commenced servicing the room, any running that is required, times that DND signs were placed on the door and record any maintanance issues.
•Report to the Housekeeping Supervisor any unusual incidents, complaints, unauthorised persons in rooms, missing or damaged hotel property, and lost and found items.
•Clean, tidy and vacuum the housekeeping pantries, ensure pantry doors are kept locked at all times and lights out when not in use.
•Stack all stocks neatly in the pantry.
•Sign out, sign in, and restock correctly the cleaning bucket.  Maintain in good working order all equipment allocated for cleaning on a daily basis.
•Vacuum guest floor corridors as assigned and keep then clean throughout the day including dusting, spot marking and polishing.
•Maintain the vacuum cleaners in good working condition with each vacuum cleaner to  be returned daily fully cleaned and in working order. All breakges to be reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
•Maintain maximum security of guest information on work sheets by keeping inside the guest room at all times and by not opening any room door for either guests or employees.
•Notify to the Housekeeping Coordinator all DND rooms by 14.00 hrs. every day.
•Report any lost Master Keys to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately.
•Use the chemicals provided in accordance with the Material Data Sheets provided.
•Carry out any additional duties as requested by the Manager or Supervisor.
•Use and/or wear protective equipment where recommended.
GENERAL
•Communicate effectively with all other departments
•Attend meetings, training sessions and any other required meeting or training session.
•Identify opportunities to innovate service delivery and product offering to meet and exceed client expectations.

Restaurant

•Attend briefing prior to the restaurant opening, be well groomed and equipped with basic aids for operation.
•Knowledge of all F&B standard operating procedures, quality presentation, and service and products
•Knowledge of the area competition, promotional concepts
•Knowledge of wines and beverages, food trends and special seasonal foods
•Knowledge of the specialties which will be served in the restaurant
•Equip oneself with the knowledge of “dujour” items, “not-available” items, menu preparations and presentations.
•Complete mis-en-scene and mis-en-place before the shift commences.
•Clean and polish allotted silverware cutler, glassware and chinaware. Ensure all equipment is properly utilized.
•Stock side-board with proprietary sauces, linen and other equipments for service.
•Check all furniture in the station maintenance.
•Lay out tables and covers as per standards.
•Fold napkins into prescribed attractive styles.
•Equip one-self with orders pads, pencils, waiter cloths, matches and bottle openers.
•Requisition fresh restaurant linen and flowers in consultation with supervisor.
•Air restaurant by opening windows.
•Ensure all areas in the station are cleaned and organized.
•Acknowledge returning and regular clients
•Greet guests on arrival, provide the menu and advise of any specials.
•Take food and beverage orders and repeat orders, ensuring that the guest gets the right order.
•Enhance food and beverage sales through the art of suggestive up selling.
•Develop restaurant image through high standards of service to guests.
•Knowledge of the different conference packages; different table settings
•Be fully conversant with all hotel facilities and services.
•Act on flags and special requests.
•Maintain detailed awareness or information regarding arrivals, their food and beverage preferences, special needs and expected departures of the day.
•Answer queries on house facilities and places of tourist interest.
•Maintain confidentiality with regard to guest’s personal information.
•Provide assistance to guests on all matters relating to their stay.
•Act on any complaint received and follow up with the guests, any comments should be forwarded to the outlet supervisor.
•Check reservations for the shift and allocate with the approval of the outlet supervisor.

Room Service

•Complete mis en place before the shift commences
•Set up trays and trolleys as per standards
•Equip oneself with knowledge of “dujuor” items and “not available” items, menu preparations and presentations.
•Extend warm and courteous service to guests on telephone and receive their food and beverage orders through effective salesmanship.
•Clean and polish allotted silverware, cutlery, glassware and chinaware
•Execute orders in guest rooms ensuring speed, quality and personalization
•Clear trays/trolleys from guest rooms/floor corridors.
•Prepare and place complimentary fruits baskets in guest rooms.
•Attend to room service telephones promptly within three (3) rings.
•Familiarize oneself thoroughly with room service menu
•Take down guests’ food or beverage order as per guests’ requirement and display salesmanship to get greater revenue
•Note down KOT/Check, follow up on orders
•Fill up summary sheet
•Enter in the logbook any complaints, delays, suggestions
•Note down outlet reservation in the reservation register of each closed outlet.
•Make KOTs/Checks from door knob orders
•Ensure that an absolute degree of courteousness and warmth is maintained when conversing with the guest.

F&B Administration

•Perform, as directed, routine clerical and administrative tasks, including typing, filing, generating and distributing correspondence; recording, transcribing and distributing minutes; handling mail and producing all necessary documents.
•Provide administrative support, manage reservations, handle special orders, and accommodate special requests from customers, as directed, on a daily basis, including holidays and special events, for the restaurant outlets.
•Maintain daily, monthly and annual calendars for the food & beverage department heads, providing daily time management support.
•Respond to inquiries regarding each program and event
•On-site attendance at all programs and event
•Full event production and management of all assigned events and additional special events throughout the year
•Manage budget for each event
•Negotiate and secure venues, work with catering managers on all event Logistics-F&B, AV, Set, event time-line
•Work with marketing on event promotion, signage and materials
•Work with vendors and negotiate prices for all items
•Research potential vendors and venues

What we need from you

FINANCIAL RETURN

•Maintain cash float & reconcile daily
•Assure accountability for cash float issued.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

•Comply with and ensure adherence to all of the hotel’s policies and procedures
•Comply with all occupational health and safety policies and procedures
•Attend all scheduled meetings
•Possess a thorough knowledge of operations, cashiering and telephone policies and procedures.
•Ensure that all irregularities are reported to the immediate supervisor.
•Coordination with the following:
•Front Office for arrival, departure, VIP information, group information house count.
•Housekeeping for fresh linen, uniforms, flowers and cleanliness
•Kitchen personnel for placing and pick up of guest food order.
•Stewarding for supplies of silverware
•Bars for beverage requisition
•Stores for material requisition

PEOPLE

•Oversee work performance of new Waiter/Waitress when it comes to servicing, posting to micros, audit and cash balance reporting.
•Help train new hires on-the-job-trainees (On the Job Training) and cross-trainees in the food and beverage department.
•

GENERAL

•Report for duty on time in accordance with the weekly rota.
•Communicate effectively with all other departments.
•Attend meetings, training sessions and any other required meeting or training session.
•Identify opportunities to innovate service delivery and product offering to meet and exceed client expectations.
•Ensure safe work practices are adopted at all time and report any OHS concerns immediately to your direct manager or HR Manager.
•Ensure the presentation, quality and quantity of food and beverages are to the hotel standards.
•Provide administrative support, manage reservations, handle special orders, and accommodate special requests and banquet booking request on a daily basis, including holidays and special events.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Education

•Any Formal hospitality qualifications, desirable

Experience

•At least 2 years previous food and beverage experience in a hotel or any 5star restaurant back ground.

Technical/ Skills

•Competent Word, Excel, Cashiering, operate Micros system and hotel PMS
•Competent Oral and Written English Communication Skills
•Strong organisational and work co-ordinating skills to handle multiple assignments and projects
•Possess a clear diction and a pleasant voice

Your day to day

• Ensures the highest standards of maintenance, cleanliness and comfort in Team Members Accommodation and provide Team Members assistance and support on daily basis. • Airport Pick up and drop off for the new arrivals and leavers. • Arrangement of the accommodation for new team members arrivals room cleanliness, all items in place etc. with welcome pack items, welcome letter and check in formalities. • Handle and control the team members movements and shifting inside the accommodation. • Ensure the maintenance of the Accommodation: make sure all the facilities are operational and contact the suppliers for any repairing or replacement needed. • Ensure that all aspects of the accommodation meet hygiene and health and safety regulations. • Handle the TM’s transportation with the suppliers according to the daily schedule • Follow up with the purchasing on pending items related to the TM’s accommodation. • Initiate all the purchasing request for all shortage of the consumable items / maintenance items or any items need replacement. • Update all stores in the accommodation and ensure no shortage of needed items. • Prepare and maintain up to date Accommodation inventory lists for all the store items in the accommodation. • Accommodation Inspection / Spot Checks as per the decided schedule for all the team members villas to ensure safety and hygiene and that all the rules and regulations in the rooms are followed. • Ensure all comments related to TM’s accommodation are responded to/acted on within established time frames. • Maintain discipline and safe environment, in Accommodation – keep the peace, and act on any actual or potential violations of policies or law – report incidents in the accommodation to HR Manager.

What we need from you

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Formal qualifications of min. Secondary level
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Competency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Subject knowledge and local experience within a hotel human resources environment. Knowledgeable about basic first aid.
