Operations Efficiency Controller

Job Purpose

Undertake the development and refinement of the Long, medium and short term planning of all the Airport Resources based on published Operating plan and up to date engagement standards. The role holder will analyse the proposed planning scenarios and make recommendation to the line managers of various ‘what if’ scenarios prepared with Resource Management System. Conduct periodical reviews to business engagement standards used in Planning in response of service improvement initiatives
Job Outline:
– Undertake the development and refinement of the Long, medium and short term planning of all the Airport Resources based on published Operating plan and up to date engagement standards. The role holder will analyse the proposed planning scenarios and make recommendation to the line managers of various ‘what if’ scenarios prepared with Resource Management System. Conduct periodical reviews to business engagement standards used in Planning in response of service improvement initiatives.
– Responsible for the preparation of efficient Roster lines for all EKAS resources through careful balancing of people and business needs. The job holder will apply optimisation tools and techniques in the roster and leave planning to deliver high efficiency levels. Plan and agree future leave allocation for key operational areas using Leave bidding and optimisation tools (LASS). Ensure system databases, interface and prioritisation parameters are up-to-date for effective Rostering and Leave management to improve employee satisfaction.
– Develop and train the Roster & Leave Planning team imparting company processes, knowledge, technical skills and experience to ensure continuity of expertise within the section.
– Undertake planning, modelling, testing and deployment of the RTC module (RealTime Control) into the various operational areas. Responsible for the effective management of the resources deployed in RTC on the day of operation to ensure optimum utilization through the team of Resource allocators.
– Process the pre-planning of resources in the short term to ensure adequate resourcing in anticipation of operational changes. Review performance trends and take corrective action for Re-planning.
– Work with Group IT and Business Solutions team to ensure a foundation of insightful data that supports a specific analysis or application. Accountable for delivery of enhancements and system upgrades in coordination with EGIT and vendor teams from definition of requirements to the final go live stage for all components of the Resource Management System (Planning, Rostering, Leave management and Day of Ops), its relavant communication tools (Mobile Apps, PDA, etc) and data warehouse.
– Develop dimensions of the DS project such as data analysis, visualization and development of tools, models and documentation. Drive initiatives within the Business to ensure the quality of data available to aid timely and accurate analysis and interpretation. Work with internal and external stakeholders to design, test and deliver KPI and business measures related to Resource utilisation.
– Develop, track and analyse KPI and business metrics and visualisation to understand trends, identify issues, and opportunities. Provide exploratory analysis to identify trends in business drivers (forecast and historical loads, staff performance etc) through use of different techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation and statistical analysis to predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to produce key insights and actionable takeaways aimed to enhance Resource planning effectiveness and improve resource utilisation on day of operation.

Knowledge/Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Operational Research, Statistics, Data Science or similar numerical with

As HRBP for dnata International Airport Ops you will support the VP of HRBP to drive the global HR agenda and develop people strategy in partnership with business unit heads and the Finance function. Servicing 14 business across 4 regions, the HR team will act as a global governance platform, providing guidance to local HR management, embedding dnata culture and implementing standardisation.
You will provide an efficient, solutions-focused HR service through effective partnership with HR Business Partners and HR management team, as well as the line. Other responsibilities will include coaching and guidance in relation to managing people, positions and work and the identification of people- related trends, feeding insights into the HRBP team. You will be involved in the delivery of more comprehensive and specialised HR with SME knowledge of HR issues across more than one area by maintaining complex case management, escalations and activities related to project work.
Key Accountabilities:
– Partner, consult and manage line managers to educate and advise on all stages of the employee life cycle including performance management, employee development, retention, training, recruitment, induction, employee relations, conflict management and Occupational Health and Safety/workers compensation.
– Implement corporate HR initiatives such as the development of new systems and the introduction of new HR tools, services or benefits.
– Support the development of HR and corporate policy/processes by researching and analysing data, facilitating management buy-in, through management awareness and staff communication.
– Liaise with Remuneration and Planning on policy changes based on changes to the labour law and/or market practice for the relevant country.
– Lead the performance management process within the business area by guiding and advising managers on continued staff development by setting objectives, development plans, coaching and providing feedback. Consult with line managers to proactively identify and address employee performance issues.
– Influence the organisation s global HR systems and infrastructure strategy, providing unique insights into employee needs. Work closely with the finance team in the management of the local payroll and recommend improvements to management of time and attendance and payroll processes and systems.
– Review and initiate process improvements to improve productivity and add value whilst improving the overall employee experience.
– Participate in the annual pay review by researching and presenting any relevant information to HR Remuneration to support cases for changes to pay scales, benefits and allowances.
– Lead, plan, schedule and formulate the recruitment schedule for the year liaising with the business on the various selection and recruitment methods in order to attract and retain the best candidates. Manage the recruitment process including shortlisting, interviews, references, psychometrics, salary negotiations and the on-boarding process.
– Identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and morale based on feedback from climate surveys, exit interviews etc throughout the business by liaising with departmental managers to assist with productivity and retention building a positive working environment.
– Coach, guide and manage Human Resources professionals (where applicable) to ensure compliance of all Human Resource standards with a key stakeholder focus. Ensure budget accountabilities that fall under HR are well managed and resources are optimally utilised.
