Digital Content Creator, Spinneys Dubai LLC
Spinneys, the UAE’s premium supermarket retailer that has taken the lead in the region for 60 years, is looking for a friendly, tech-savvy young professional to join its new content division. Spinneys operates a number of Waitrose & Partners stores under a license agreement with Waitrose & Partners UK and are looking for a creative candidate to support the content creation and social media management for its channels. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the latest trends in food, breathes all things social media and digital and has a wide understanding of multiple online platforms, social channels and tools including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.
Working in close collaboration with the marketing and content teams, the ideal candidate will create innovative, on-trend, educational and inspirational content across all of Waitrose UAE’s social channels and for the website Waitrose.ae. Key to success in this role is the ability to understand what messages are most relevant to Waitrose’s customers and deliver this message effectively.
Responsibilities:
- As the Digital Content Creator you will play a significant role in finding novel approaches to engage customers and create best-in-class customer experiences via video, social media, email, digital and in-store marketing initiatives under the guidance of the content team.
- You will create/produce daily content across all platforms for all social media and digital campaigns so that they align with what is required from the marketing and commercial teams. You will work towards the implementation of multiple social and digital calendars.
- You will oversee all community management and work in close collaboration with the Customer Service team to engage with and answer all queries/comments quickly and effectively. You will familiarise yourself with existing portals and upcoming APIs.
- You will assist in the day-to-day management of targeted advertising, post amplification and management of paid social marketing campaigns. You will ensure the most cost efficient and effective use of marketing spend.
- You will assist with creating, analysing and presenting monthly social and digital reports. Keeping an obsessive eye on data, trends and analytics.
- You will be required to establish and develop working relationships with leading food and lifestyle influencers in the region.
- You will work closely with the digital and editorial teams to develop engaging content for Waitrose.ae. You will liaise with the teams at Waitrose UK for feedback.
Requirements
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or equivalent.
- Over two years of relevant experience in content creation and social media management.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- An engaging digital writing portfolio and the ability to proofread your own copy.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Photoshop. Sound knowledge of Lightroom, Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects is a bonus.
- Experience using social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite and Later.
- Experience using business tools such as Business Suite, Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads.
- Sound knowledge of reportage and listening tools.

Responsibilities
- Provide Administrative support for staff
- Prepare staff NOC letters pertaining to bank and other related letters including employment certificate as per Company policy
- Process and verify staff headcount on a weekly basis
- Arrange staff exit interview and prepares resignation acceptance letter, issuance of termination letter and warning letter
- Prepare non-joining advice
- Prepare internal advertisement as may require and communicate the result
- Prepare and maintain personnel file, arrange, collate, submit all pertinent documents of new hires for employment visa process and update of the record
