Technical Skills Candidate should have done 2 to 3 end to end Life Cycle implementation Projects and 1 or 2 support Projects. He should be fully hands on with System configuration, Maintenance, enhancements and Support of respective module. Job Description
Responsible for maintenance, support, enhancements and training of users of respective modules and its integration with other modules. Strategic& Operational Skills
STRATEGIC :
- Assist the Production Manager in the development and implementation of QNCC’s overall strategy.
- Formulate the strategy, annual business plans, budgets, policies and procedures of the Quarry Section, to support the organizational business strategy of QNCC.
- Set performance objectives and regularly review performance of the Quarry Section.
- Collaborate with the relevant Heads and Managers in order to ensure that the overall function within QNCC is operating
- effectively and efficiently towards achieving high operating standards and confirming implementation of efficient and effective processes, policies and procedures.
- Ensure maintenance of the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity in provision of the services in the Section.
- Ensure that the Section’s business plans are within agreed budgets and timescales. Provide timely, accurate and complete progress reports to the Technical Manager and management committees on the financial and operational progress of the Section.
- Develop short and long term mine plan for raw material excavation
Create and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring for the entire Section and monitor their achievements on a regular basis. - Evaluate the raw material reserve.
- Ensure that adequate controls are in place for all activities within the Section and that all Sections within the Department are adequately geared to achieve the Company’s Strategy.
- Developing links with local groups and organizations
- Keeping up with the relevant government legislation and industry development
OPERATIONAL:
- Review production schedules for shifts while ensuring they do well receive all necessary information regarding production targets and means of achieving.
- Review monthly production forecast based on kiln daily/weekly plan and/or commercial plan.
- Optimize the utilization of the installations and equipment
- Ensure that the quarry’s production levels are maintained safely to schedule.
- Alter the quarry’s production system in accordance with the materials required
- Manage the production process and set and monitor targets.
- Make proposal regarding the needed investments and justify them on the technical and economical point of view
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure staff performance
- Manage the KPI’s paying particular attention to trends and searching for improvement opportunities.
- Provide timely and useful reports to plant management to spot both positive and negative trends.
- Review weekly technical report to the Head of Quarry Section on daily “process targets parameters” follow up
- Ensure the conformity of the limestone quality with regards to the physic-chemical norms requested.
- Check the expeditions in terms of quality and quantity and ensure their record in the accountancy system
- Review Quarry budget and maintain up to date records as required.
- Coordinates the maintenance requirements of the quarries with the maintenance department.
- Agrees the schedule of annual and monthly planned maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure proper maintenance of all machinery and equipment
Experience
- About 10-15 years of related experience of which a minimum of 10 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry
Knowledge of usage of SAP System is an added advantage.
Responsible for planning the deposit exploitation in order to meet production needs in terms of quantity and quality or the needs of external clients, to optimize production costs and to find ways to continuously improve Quarry Processes. Ensures that quarries, pits and opencast sites operate successfully and decides if mining plans are commercially workable, before quarry is opened.
Language Good communication skill. English is must, Arabic is an advantage.
