Proficiency of basic test equipment (i.e. safety testers & multi-meters to name a few) and specific radiology and imaging test equipment to include but not limited to dosemeters and phantoms to troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance activities for the devices supported.
Insures accurate biomedical equipment inventory information by verifying device information to the departmental database. If an asset tag is not affixed to the equipment, work with BME Leadership to make sure information is put into the BME database. This includes devices brought in on placement agreements, Loaners, Demos, Rentals and Research equipment. If an asset leaves NM, make sure that the appropriate disposal information is filled out or conveyed to the department to remove it from the inventory.
Collaborates with Information Systems to change IP addresses, AE titles and PACs information on medical imaging devices. Work with Clinical Engineer and engage the vendor if needed to capture cybersecurity information.
Work with the vendor if patching is needed in certain systems to correct vulnerabilities for cybersecurity.
Makes sure these activities are documented and updated in the BME database
