Project Control Engineer (including Project Planner tasks)
– Collects, organizes, and compiles data into a series of reports that are distributed on a timely basis to Project Stakeholders.
– Monitors project reporting tracking sheets for accuracy and consistency of data.
– Assists in collecting submissions for the Periodic, Monthly and Annual Reports.
– Builds a strong relationship and works closely with the Project Management Team, Contractor and Sub-contractors to ensure validity and timely collection of data.
– Assists in the creating and updating of presentations and materials as required to show project status and progress.
– Utilizes IT applications to extract and present relevant data elements, including MS Word, Excel, PIMs, Power BI and PowerPoint.
– Maintains all supporting reports and documentation within PIMs document system.
– Establishes common reporting formats and process to streamline periodic and monthly reporting.
Qualifications:
– Degree in communications preferred
– Mastery of spoken and written English and French; ability to edit text into concise language appropriate for reports and presentations.
– Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver reports according to requirements and strict deadlines.
– Strong skills in graphical presentation of data with specific knowledge of and experience with databases; computer skills (Word, Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).

NES Fircroft is urgently looking out for a Senior Geophysicist for one of its clients based out in Abu Dhabi, UAE. NES Fircroft is facilitating its client in the project bidding. Therefore, the ideal applicants would only be considered if he/she confirms expression of interest and give consent to share CV to our client and its customer for review and approval. Job Description Summary: –
- Accountable for validation of seismic interpretation database and all other relevant geophysical dataset.
- Responsible in carrying out seismic interpretation and mapping for field development plans, full field reviews, for appraisal and development drilling, as well as support reservoir surveillance activities where appropriate.
- Lead the integration of geological concepts with geophysical data in the context of field development.
- Identify new opportunities to add value to new and existing projects/assets.
- Present subsurface geophysical interpretation results for field reviews, and prepare well proposals, end of well reports and similar technical documentation.
- Responsible for developing the skill sets of more junior geophysicists.
- To conduct in-house 3D seismic interpretation and attribute analysis by integrating regional and field geological and geophysical data/information.
- To perform seismic to well tie, 3D seismic horizons mapping, 3D structural interpretation and quantify associated uncertainty as input to the static modelling. Continuously monitor and update in-house evaluation, study, and any out-sourced studies.
- Where applicable, utilize/integrate quantitative interpretation techniques such as seismic inversion, seismic reservoir characterization, etc., to optimize reservoir understandings.
- Build velocity model for time to depth conversion with a good understanding as determined from VSP and geological data.
- To assist in well correlations within and between fields as an integrated work with the team Stratigrapher & Geomodeller.
- To lead in planning and optimizing well trajectories using seismic data. Prepare well prognosis from geophysical perspective in planning phase. Then provide geophysics support during drilling operations.
- To recommend/identify well to acquire new VSP data and relevant geophysical logs during the BP. Provide logging requirement during well prognosis, monitor logging, evaluate logging quality with the team Petro-physicist, quality check on the processing of VSP and required logs quality, reviewed final output and contractors’ documentation. Then, ensure validated data is properly loaded onto geophysical database.
- To integrate seismic interpretation with static (borehole images, well logs) and dynamic (production, PTA) data for better reservoir understanding, as well as to validate seismic interpretation.
- To recommend seismic reprocessing/inversion projects, where appropriate, and assist in supervision and quality control of any such projects.
- Accountable on validating seismic database.
- To coach and mentor Junior Geophysicists in their career development.
- To provide management the information for regular progress reports, project status and presentation to Management and Shareholders.
- Strong upstream industry experience with track record in seismic Interpretation, structural interpretation, velocity modelling, field (re)development plan, well prognosis, within an Oil & Gas Operator (preferable).
- Extensive experience in seismic data quality analysis, sonic and density log QC, Check-shot /VSP analysis.
- Hands-on experience on seismic to well tie, structural mapping, velocity modelling and uncertainty analysis.
- Diverse technical experience, including, appraisal and development/production. Middle East operator experience is an advantage.
- Expert user of industry seismic interpretation software: PETREL.
Mandatory experience/skills/tools:

- Minimum BSc / B. Tech in Chemical engineering / Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience as reservoir engineer, preferred in the region of UAE and/or Oman
- Have good background in reservoir studies and field development plans
- Experience in reservoir sensitivity and uncertainty analysis
- Strong upstream industry experience with track record in seismic Interpretation, structural interpretation, velocity modelling, field (re)development plan, well prognosis, within an Oil & Gas Operator (preferable).
