We are looking for a Planning and Control Manager with the following details :
Mobilization Date: September

Key Requirements
- Specific understanding and exposure to PV projects with a minimum of 2 to 3 projects driven from LNTP/NTP until COD.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction of power plants (technology based).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- EPC background and experience is a must.
- Experience in the MENA region working in an EPC Company will be considered a plus.
- Experience working with EPC Contractors, directly as an EPC Contractor or as an Owner.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) OR equivalent certification is preferred.
- Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
The Planning and Control Manager reports directly to the Project Director.
- The Planning and Control Manager is primarily responsible for the analysis, review and control of the project schedule and linked project control tools.
- He/She ensures the assessment of the schedule and progress to achieve the contractual dates by:
- Ensuring the implementation of all requirements in compliance with the COMPANY’s Renewables corporate procedures and guidelines.
- Being fully aware of the Power Purchase Agreement, EPC Contract, O&M Agreement and various Project Agreements. Manage the stakeholders effectively in line with the Contracts;
- Ensuring the EPC Contractor’s compliance with all the Planning and Control procedures included in the EPC Contract;
- Analyzing, reviewing and approving the Project Baseline schedule, together with the Project Control Plan and different reporting tools (including KPIs files).
- Intensively reviewing and tracking of the critical path, ensuring the EPC is properly reporting it and analyzing/allocating plans to mitigate the delays ahead of time.
- Assisting with all project meetings, progress and/or discipline technical meetings with the EPC Contractor;
- Monitoring and checking the EPC Contractors’ work across each discipline to ensure the timely delivery of the works, including a detailed review of the project KPIs following the different Contractual tools to be implemented;
- Leading the review of the progress reports (daily, weekly and monthly) prepared by the EPC Contractor;
- Leading the preparation of the internal monthly report to be submitted to the different stakeholders, and reviewing it with the PD/CEO, in addition to the internal reports to TE REN.
- Providing the Project Director with the inputs for the monthly progress reports and relevant information to check EPC Contractor invoices;
- In cooperation with the discipline Managers
- Follows up with the actual progress versus planned values,
- Ensures that the critical activities are executed according to the schedule, and looks for opportunities to create margin within the critical path,
- Analyses the works and impose optimizations towards the contractor where possible, and
- Evaluates and approves all recovery plans for delayed activities to secure the overall schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
- Experience of lead engineering in ENG CTR or known CPY
- Graduate engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with at least 10 years’ experience of engineering team management for offshore oil & gas project, knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Experience of FEED Engineering technical management
- Fluency in English (speaking and writing) with good communication skills, computer literate,
- Strong leadership skills and good communication skills,
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
ACTIVITIES:
- Continuously review Contractor’s mobilization and manning plan to ensure sufficient and effective manpower is in place to meet the project requirements.
- Audit Contractor’s resource allocation ensuring resources are effectively allocated and efficiently work for Project.
- Review and monitor engineering activities and report Contractor progress at Chennai office, identify trends/delays and manage recovery plan where required.
- Identify technical issues and bottleneck points, propose solutions and clear way forward, and provide relevant and sufficient information for decision making.
- Ensure the good progress of engineering activities in compliance with project specifications and procedures, time schedule, required level of quality and safety
- Identify and manage technical interdisciplinary interfaces, ensuring proper coordination and interface management system is place by Contractor.
- Identify and manage design scope changes, ensuring all changes are properly realized, captured, and applied into the design deliverables as per agreed/approved schedule.
- Closely works with the Company PDMS Coordinator at Chennai to ensure good progress and fit-for-purposes development Of the FEED layout/3D model and effective clearance of Project punch.
- Promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities
- Carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices,
- Promote field technical optimization/cost savings, ensuring first that they are compliant with the project schedule and the contracts, liaising with the Head of Engineering
- Ensure that relevant feedback from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance,
- Participate actively in technical decision making, in meetings with potential contractors and vendors,
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with Contractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required by management,
- Provide technical answers to technical queries and provide support in deviations requests,
- Participate to HAZID/ HAZOP/ Project Technical reviews sessions with COMPANY, Contractors and vendors teams,
- Carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors in line with discipline expertise.
