What you will do
Work closely with leadership, business, and product teams to define the most strategic partnership areas to focus on and their key objectives
Build narratives in collaboration with the strategy team and pitch Mamo’s products to potential partners
Research and identify key partners for each strategic area of importance for Mamo
Develop assessment criteria for shortlisting and selecting key partnerships
Benchmark commercial structures and fees for various partnership types and negotiate commercial terms with shortlisted partners alongside senior management
Manage legal teams while negotiating and closing external partnership agreements
Establish and close key strategic and tactical partnerships that help Mamo drive adoption of its B2C and B2B product lines at scale
Grow the user base of Mamo Pay and Mamo Pay for Business exponentially through key business development initiatives
Develop market analysis and strategy to identify key opportunities for the regional market in partnership with cross-functional sales, growth, and product teams
Identify regional opportunities, define partnership strategies, and execute go-to-market plans
Stay up to date on the latest developments within mobile technology and app development through research, attending/speaking at events, meeting with influencers, providing feedback on features and business models to Product/Engineering teams, and generating and publishing best practices from your data and insights.
Introduce efficiency and automation in business development and partnerships processes to help the company scale effectively
Collaborate vertically and laterally across the organization to sell more effectively
What we’re looking for
4+ years experience in developing strategic partnerships within a pre-seed startup
Proven track record with business development or partnerships
Excellent relationship-building skills across all levels of a partner’s organization
You are a hustler by nature. You know when to be calm, and when to be assertive. You listen more than you speak.
You are self-aware and have a clear understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, beliefs, motivations, and emotions. Self-awareness is not only about knowing how you move through the world, but also about how your energy affects others in a workplace environment.
You give people your undivided attention and listen with the intent to understand and learn from others, not simply to respond.
You are attentive to business development process design and have a wicked ability to simplify complexity, to extract the essence from systems and processes.
You are able to operate calmly, kindly with compassion in ambiguous situations and a busy environment, and are able to focus on multiple initiatives effectively through impeccable project management.
Experience in the finance or e-commerce sectors is a plus
Superb organizational and time management skills

Outstanding communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
Proven track record of leading negotiations and structuring deals
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written
Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus
