Senior Engineer ‐ QA/QC (Mechanical) (PMC) – Offshore Project
KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Senior Engineer ‐ QA/QC (Mechanical) for a PMC project to be based initially for some time in Contractor’s Office (Abu Dhabi) then move to Offshore Site on 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation.

Requirements
Minimum Overall 15+ years of experience in oil and Gas industry.
Experience in QAQC activities in mechanical construction experience in offshore site minimum 5 years.
Having previous experience working in offshore projects would be an added advantage.
Minimum 3 experience in PMC projects
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a MU

Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer Job Title Senior Commissioning Engineer Location Initially to be based in Sharjah – UAE and then later moving to Iraq site for 28/28 rotation Skill pool COMMISSIONING Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Commissioning Lead shall be responsible for overseeing the EPC subcontractor Commissioning activities related to the new facilities from MC thru to Facility Acceptance
- The Commissioning Lead will participate in the review of EPC contractor developed CSU & Operational Readiness deliverables and ensure that all CSU plans developed are correctly implemented on the project.
- The role of the Commissioning Lead is to act on behalf of COMPANY for all commissioning and start up matters relating to acceptance/assurance/verification
Home Office responsibilities include:
- Review EPC contractor project Commissioning and Start-up (CSU) deliverables as per contract
- Review EPC contractor developed Systemization
- Review EPC contractor developed CSU activities per Commissioning System test plan
- Review EPC contractor logistical support for commissioning including but not limited to specialised 3rd party inspections, vendor support, specialised tools and spares
- Review EPC contractor system testing scope
- Review EPC contractor developed Road Map/Work Execution Flow Scheme (WEFS)
- Review EPC contractor developed project commissioning plans, integrate commissioning activities into project execution plan
- Review EPC contractor developed CSU schedule and provide guidance/ input into overall project plans
- Review and critique EPC contractor commissioning sequence/manpower mobilisation to support overall project schedule. Gap analysis.
- Review EPC contractor developed Commissioning & Start up Activity List
- Review EPC contractor developed Commissioning Consumables List
Site Responsibilities include;
- Company role model for, Assurance and Verification
- Hands on position participating in verification and assurance activities
- Ensuring EPC contractor follows COMPANY PTW and maintains overall HSSE standards throughout commissioning
- Forms part of Integrated CSU team lead by Contractor
- Leading/chairing of kick-off meetings with EPC/Vendors prior to commencement of testing
- Driving EPC Contractor to maintain commissioning sequence and schedule
- Reporting immediately any unexpected event that may impact the Commissioning or Start-Up schedule
- Reviews and approves Commissioning dossiers
- Participates/Executes PSSR
- Leads/delegates MC walkdowns
- Leads/delegates RFSU walkdown
- Drives EPC contractor construction team to complete by sub-system
- Witnesses testing of SCE and PCE inline with EPC contract requirements
- Compiles and submits reports, weekly monthly
- Facilitates ISBL/OSBL EPC interface meetings
- Oversees OSBL and ISBL commissioning interface testing to ensure HSSE compliance and technical assurance
- Ensure proper control of Commissioning activities (progress vs planning, punch list follow-up.) and recommend any necessary corrective actions to maintain schedule
- Oversee Performance testing ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria
Education, Skills & Experience: Education
- BSc., University degree in Process Engineering/Process Control Related Engineering Discipline or equivalent
Experience and Skill set
- Minimum 15 – 20 years experience in Oil and Gas production/treatment related projects (discipline or process background)
- 5 years field experience as a Senior Commissioning engineer as PMC or EPCM role in project delivery, preferably from FEED to HANDOVER
- Experience in the Middle East.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Computer literate and MS Office competent
- Understands subsystems completion and the need to manage EPC contractor to begin completing construction by system
- Experience with completions management systems reporting.
- Experience as EPCM for med size / major projects which must involve gas facilities integration is required,
- Experience on H2S projects
- Experience with Green Field Brownfield integration and hot cutover.
- The ability and desire to follow a project from FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover, supported by relevant experience
- Strong, and demonstrated, personal commitment to HSSE; Leadership and experience in managing HSSE throughout all project phases
- Has completed/received industry recognised HSSE leadership training such as IIF
- Ability to work and manage in a multi-cultural environment
- Proven track record of leadership and problem resolution.
- Strong interpersonal and good communication skills,
- Strong Team play not afraid to lead by example
