Biology Teachers
FEMALE BIOLOGY TEACHERS required for a private bilingual international school for girls from KG1 to Year 12, delivering the British National Curriculum.
Our client school is seeking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Teacher of Biology. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching of Science across the ability range at KS3 and IGCSE. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of Biology at A Level.
The successful candidate will be a highly committed team player with the drive, energy and passion to develop our academy, which will open opportunities for internal promotion, as the academy grows.
Applicants must lead by example and play a full part in the Academy’s pastoral care and extra-curricular activities programme. Successful applicants will need to be understanding of the ethos and mission and vision & values of our academy, a school with a population of Qatari/Arab students. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, confident in establishing open communication with students, staff and parents.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in BIOLOGY from a recognized University (From the UK preferred)
• TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, and Scandinavian countries (Due to Visa restrictions)
• Must be Native English speaker or near
• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of BIOLOGY teaching experience at the Secondary Grade Level
- Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment
- Priority will be given to teachers with British Curriculum teaching experience
Monthly Salary Range:
Competitive TAX FREE monthly salary range from 11,000-13,000 QAR depending on experience

Leave:
Any employee who has worked for one continuous academic school year, according to the school calendar is entitled to an annual paid leave of two months. The first month paid based on the basic salary plus allowances and the second month paid based on the basic salary only.Employee shall have an official leave yearly (Three days on Eid Al-Fitr, three days on Eid Al-Adha, one day on the National Day Celebration, and one day on the sports day).
The second party is entitled to four paid days for important reasons casual leave during the year, after completing their probation period.
Muslim employees shall be granted a one time unpaid leave of twenty days, in order to perform Haj. The First Party shall determine the number of employees granted such leave every year, subject to work requirements. Priority shall be given to the employee whose service is longer.
SICK LEAVE:
Any employee who has completed the probation period shall have the right to paid sick leave. This is provided there is proof of illness in the form of a ‘sick note’ certification issued by a government hospital, but within the following limitations:
a) Two weeks fully paid sick leave, followed by one week at half pay for continued illness
b) Following this three-week period, at the discretion of the First Party the employee shall either:
i) continue with unpaid leave until she is fit to resume employment
ii) resign from employment
iii) have their employment terminated based on health reasons
c) If the employee resigns within the initial three-week period based on ill health that is fully medically substantiated; she is entitled to two weeks fully paid sick leave and one weeks of half pay sick leave. In the event of the employee’s death the same entitlement outlined applies.
Dependant School Fees:
50% of the children’s Tuition fees at (our school or another school) equal to our school fees. (Maximum 3 children)
Visa & Medical Check Fees:
Visa and Medical exam fees required by the State of Qatar for official purposes are paid by the School
End Of Service Benefit:
End of service gratuity will be paid in advance based on the basic salary. This is a total of twelve months salary plus gratuity. End of year leave and end of service gratuity will be paid with last month’s salary.
Contract Period: 2 year contract – renewable
Location: Doha – Qatar
Paperwork Requirements: Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.

Job Description:
To lead a team of Primary Teachers, coordinating their various activities in the school. Work with students who need extra support, or require an advanced program of education, in order to complete their learning successfully. Collaborate with the subject teachers to define appropriate activities for the students in relation to the curriculum. Liaise closely with Senior Leadership Team, other curriculum leaders, student services support staff, relevant staff with cross-school responsibilities, and parents and guardians.
May have some teaching responsibilities also.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Education from the UK, AU, NZ, ZA, CA, US (due to Visa restrictions)
Master Degree in Education would be an asset
Able to lead other Primary teachers and help with Curriculum development
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years teaching experience at the primary level
