My client is looking for a marketer to be part of a team that is focused on building and driving their brand across the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Pakistan and Turkey markets. The  Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting and driving the development and implementation of the brand framework to ensure topline sales and solidifying the brand positioning in the region.  The right candidate will be familiar with running regional campaigns on multiple channels including paid digital, organic social, and influencers.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the creative outputs with the agency as aligned to the regional campaign calendar to achieve business growth and brand health objectives.
• Coordinating and driving the innovation pipeline and annual calendar planning process to deliver against the regional calendar objectives.
• Coordinating with the Performance Marketing & Ecommerce teams on creative and media mix by campaign.
• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting of regional campaigns in terms of sales performance weekly, monthly and post campaign analysis.
• Monitoring, reporting and monthly balancing of the production and research budget expenditure within the regional budget.
• Managing all associated market research projects and maintain an overall research program that encompasses advertising research, market potential, consumer attitudes, competitor information and concept testing etc in partnership with marketing team.
• Assisting in the development and co-ordination of all market and strategic planning processes
• Responsible for the Social Media strategy for the region and manage the output of the regional social content calendar with the social media agency and align social calendar with franchisee teams. Liaise with internal digital media team to deliver paid content and KPI targets

Requirements

• Tertiary degree level qualification essential, with major in marketing or business-related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years marketing experience essential, preferably in a FRANCHISING/FMCG / Food Retail environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to articulate clearly and concisely in written and oral form.
• High work ethic essential.
• Sound planning and organising skills.
• Sense of urgency
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Cultural sensitivity as working across several boundaries
• Be willing to travel at least 30-40% of time

Region Specific

• Must have an appreciation for living and working in the Dubai; be supported by immediate family (if applicable) who will cherish living and working in this part of the world.
• Have broad appreciation and capability to promote cultural, gender and religious diversity in the Middle East where most partners belong to Muslim faith.
• Role requires extensive travel within the region with international travel beyond the region required often – expected travel 40% of time.
• Weekends are Friday / Saturdays – while company respects individuals’ personal time, nature of retail business and dealing with partners consistent with local community practice would sometimes require the incumbent to spend time on business during weekends / late evening.

Salary package involves basic plus generous benefits including schooling for two children and a target bonus of @12.5% of basic salary.
