The Business Engagement and Service Governance Lead within Digital Business Services (DBS) leads on the DBS partnership with businesses and functions, where DBS is a service provider.
The role holder’s responsibilities include management oversight of DBS’ service provision activities for the businesses and functions in the UAE and across MENAT, with emphasis on operational management, streamlining, governance and customer experience. Key Responsibilities
· Overarching responsibility is to partner with businesses and functions on operational management, streamlining, governance of DBS service provision, and strategy execution
· Implementation, embedding and management of the UAE DBS Centre of Excellence

· Working closely with the DBS Chief of Staff and Function Heads to manage an effective and efficient COO operation across the region, continually balancing operating capability with cost;

The Premier proposition is a strategic priority for HSBC and the role of Premier Service Manager is a key supporting role in the achievement of the proposition objectives.
This role is a part of the Premier relationship team and a key relationship support role created to provide an outstanding customer experience to the valuable Premier clients and increase Premier Wealth Relationship Manager’s (PWRM’s) client facing time. The role provides dedicated support to a team of Premier Wealth Relationship Managers (PWRM) in the overall achievement of their GWIF KPIs covering activity management, client satisfaction, sales quality, acquisition, Recurring Income and Total Client Relationship growth of their portfolios)
In order to deliver client centric service, this role is identified as a point of contact for clients and in the absence of the PWRM, this role will be the first point of contact for the client. In addition, the Premier Service Manager may provide credit/lending support to the PWRM if dictated by market requirements. Building an ongoing relationship based on value and service is critical to being successful in this role.
In order to deliver a high quality service to our highest value personal clients the role holder will need to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of banking products and services across wealth and retail.
Identifying client needs/ Solutions
Solutions KPI (Weightage 50%) including NTB Acquisition, Upgrades Acquisition, Revolving Successful Referrals
Provide high quality sales support to a team of PWRMs mainly focused on getting appointment for PWRMs and supporting PWRMs in servicing their clients
Reduce the time spent on process and administrative tasks by PWRM to increase PWRM’s capacity
Support PWRMs to manage client contact and service, including, in the absence of PWRMs, answering client calls, resolving client enquiries on transactional needs and facilitating a smooth hand-off to the correct channels where appropriate, and managing key event reminders to maintain active client contact
Provide sales support to PWRMs including preparing and completing sales documents, managing data input and report generation, and liaising with support functions to follow through client purchase process requirement
Ensure Input Quality error rates for wealth deals are within acceptable levels
Build extensive knowledge of HSBC systems and procedures in order to handle client needs
Proactively help HSBC identify opportunity to improve process efficiencies
Sensitively redirect clients to the most effective and efficient channel
Support the client in navigating the channel of their choice (to interact with HSBC) effectively and efficiently
Ensure the client consistently receives a professional premium service which exceeds their expectations at all times
Maintain high standards of control and operational practices in line with HSBC’s expectations
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
KNOWLEGDE & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong interpersonal and empathy skills with strong decision making and ability to deliver
• Minimum of two years working in financial services industry
• Previous experience in Retail/Premier sales preferred
• Understanding of core products, Premier proposition, and familiar with retail and wealth product processes
• Understanding of relationship management systems (CRM and RM Platform etc.)
• Solid knowledge of appropriate branch operational procedures
• Money Laundering Awareness Certificate held
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory governance in market
• Good knowledge of HSBC and personal banking
• Team player with collaborative skills
• Knowledge of local and Group compliance regulations
• Able to deliver the client experience and needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills
• Attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by market

Role Overview

To provide legal advice, guidance and support to the Equity Capital Markets and M&A teams in MENAT (with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia) to ensure that the Group’s exposure to legal risk is managed and the execution of Group business and operational strategies and initiatives is facilitated.
Key responsibilities:
- To be considered a trusted adviser and partner to the business by providing legal advice and risk management guidance to the Equity Capital Markets and M&A businesses. The role requires a can do and hands on approach, assisting from pitch stage, meeting with clients and appointment and management of outside counsel as well as proactively providing legal support throughout the transaction through to closing. The role requires an ability to issue spot and to proactively identify areas of legal risk to the Group which may arise in the course of a transaction or for the business more generally.
- Based in Dubai, this role requires an individual to be part of the MENAT Legal team but also work closely with other lawyers from the wider Legal Function (including lawyers in Saudi Arabia and London).
- Provide commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal support and advice.
- Ensure that the impact of regulatory and legislative developments is understood by the business and adequately reflected in documentation.
- Proactively manage and lead transactions giving seamless support to Equity Capital Markets and M&A teams, enabling smooth execution and timely responses, coordinating the varied stakeholders and positively demonstrating HSBC capabilities.
- Provide prompt, commercial, practical and high quality legal advice on transactions and advise the business of and escalate within Legal promptly material legal developments and their implications.
- Ensure that seniors with the Equity Capital Markets and M&A businesses and the wider Legal team are fully briefed on major issues arising in relevant business area.
- Build and maintain positive and effective relationships with panel law firms and other appropriate external parties.
- Establish and maintain close mutually supportive working relationships with other members of the Legal Function.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Experience & Qualifications
- Graduate Degree is a must to obtain UAE visa.
- Qualified lawyer with at least 6 years’ relevant post qualification experience in Equity Capital Markets and M&A practice, ideally with a focus on European and MENA and other emerging markets.
- Experienced and confident practitioner able to understand and deal with a wide range of issues, from complex to administrative.
- US/English law qualified or experience.
- Civil law jurisdiction (Saudi Arabia or UAE in particular) experience a plus.
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in own industry sector and familiarity with industry body terms and documents, relevant laws and regulations.
- Able to work in a team but able to manage own workload independently.
- Arabic language a plus but not necessary.
- Stamina and ability to work at pace under pressure.
