Qualifications:
1. Degree in Education as a full-time student (B.Ed/M.Ed/PGCE,etc)
2. All candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the British Cambridge
Curriculum/IB Curriculum.
3. All candidates should be proficient in written and spoken English (native-English speakers are preferred).

Age limit: 50 years and less.

The Beta International School, Doha offer a tax-free monthly gross salary (including basic pay and allowances) according to qualifications and experience. Other benefits include free air tickets, free medical care, free accommodation (single-room apartment) and transportation facility to and from the school, The Institute bears yearly visa charges. Post holders are entitled to annual leave from July-August as per the Ministry of Education rules

School Counsellors required for Middle-Secondary schools to help all students in the areas of academic achievement and personal/social development. If students are not meeting course requirements or are having disciplinary problems, school counsellors may need to intervene to remedy the situation.

Help senior students apply for University and College abroad.

Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Need experience helping students in preparing college applications.

Required Qualifications

• • Bachelor of Education, Psychology, Counselling
  • Master Degree or Certificate for School Counselling from a recognized University
  • QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (Preferably UK as it is a British Curriculum)
  • Bilingual ARABIC/ENGLISH speaker an asset
  • Must have excellent communication skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in School Counselling for Middle School or Secondary grade levels
• Experience in helping senior students apply for College or University abroad
• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Contract Details

Start Date: August

Contract Duration: 1- 2 years (renewable)

Location: Qatar

Working Hours: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (approx) Sunday to Thursday

Visa: Residence Visa Sponsorship and fees covered for employee only

Dependent School Fees: 100% discount for 1 dependent attending same school as employee

Housing: Free furnished 1-2 bedroom apartment or housing allowance provided depending on family size

• • Transportation provided from school accommodation back and forth to school
  • Utilities paid QAR 300 Singles and QAR 500 for Married
  • Extra allowance for luggage QAR 1000 with receipt

Vacation: Approximately 2 months summer holidays, plus national holidays and term breaks according to Academic calendar and Labor law

Medical Insurance: Provided for Employee only

TAX FREE Monthly Salary: Competitive TAX FREE salary QAR 10,000 to 13,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Extra allowances for luggage QAR 1000 with receipt

Benefits: Annual Cash Airfare equivalent to Ticket price to home country for employee and one dependent (Spouse or 1 child)

End of Service Benefit: One month Basic Salary for each year completed, paid at the end of service, as per Labour law
