As the Core Services Operations Engineer for OnStar , our In-Vehicle Safety and Security System, you will be responsible for defining our Core services Key Performance Indicators. Once the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are defined you will work with the product owner, architects, and developers to craft and implement performance metrics at the journey level, interaction level, and transaction level to provide the vital insight into the activation performances.
This role is highly technical and requires deep understanding of modern system/application interaction and identifying data elements within the systems that can be used to support critical metric calibration, with major focus on the Vehicle Communication back-office applications.
As the Core Services Operations Engineer for OnStar you will work multi-functionally and globally to collaborate with Regional carrier partners, Business, IT development and operations, engineering, and quality teams, to ensure the detailed launch of connected vehicles programs. In this role you will also work together with product owners (our customers) and customer experience organizations to define, track and measure our services so that we can support and improve our connected vehicle Customer experiences in the best way.

Our team members possess multiple subject areas from project management, engineering, analytical, information systems, database, and wireless network.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
A full grasp of document Advisor workflows, Mobile app integration and associated back-end interactions of the Vehicle services.
Fully understand, document and support OnStar Smart Driver features, Radio Info 3 personalization (including in-vehicle apps), OnStar vehicle diagnostics and associated back-end interactions of the Vehicle services.
Perform data analysis by building database queries, creating data structures, and design and automate processes using Oracle and UNIX
Develop and support various operational batch activities using UNIX shell scripts and SQL
Develop performance metrics/reports/monitors to establish vital insight into the Vehicle services performance (i.e. success rate) and issues
Investigate identified issues to resolve root causes and come up with solutions (fixes/alternative workflows) to address the performance issues
Plan for the issue resolution activities and coordinate/lead execution of the plan with other collaborators
Provide regular status update on current performance and performance enhancement activities
Update related process flows, performance metrics/reports and other documents to reflect the changes and communicate them with all impacted collaborators
Identify vital process improvement ideas by working with other business partners such as regional advisor process/performance owners
Participate/Lead design/process related technical discussions with development teams and/or other partners
Inspire change requirements by describing high level business objectives, business benefits and functional requirements
Participate in iterative co-validation sessions with IT counter parts (mostly developers and testers) as an SME to ensure that requirements have been accurately implemented
Handle raised tickets and issues from customers
Position requires operational support per on-call schedule
Additional Description
Required Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated ability in a lead technical operation IT role
Experience in process definition (requirement), validation or operation of service delivery processes
Shown ability to build strong cross organization relationships to facilitate collaboration and coordination
Experience working with technical teams during time critical/issue resolution incident management
Demonstrable experience and understanding of application architecture and design principles related to system integration of client components, web services, and databases
Solid experience in using and interacting with relational database structures (Oracle database)
Demonstrable experience and understanding of SQL and SQL development
Industry experience in working on Big Data Platforms and Tools such as Hadoop, Cassandra and Apache Hive, Scoop, Hue etc.
Exposure to Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Crystal Report or other reporting system
Strong exposure to UNIX Scripts/ORACLE/ETL development to build end to end process/systems automation and integration (batch load, scripting, cron etc.)
Technical background or Level 2/3 support in problem solving to identify, priorities and communicate complicated technical issues
Knowledgeable and comfortable with new technologies and business models
High level of analytical ability where problems are sophisticated and difficult
Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English (Arabic ability desirable
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience with vehicle infotainment, telematics, or navigation systems
Working experience with web services (XML, WSDL, SOAP, JSON) and transactional monitoring

The purpose of this role is to provide expert remote & on-site technical support/ assistance to the General Motors Middle East (GMME) Field team as well as GMME dealers to resolve technical product concerns to achieve Customer Satisfaction. Drive product quality improvements by gathering & analyzing product concern data submitted by GM dealers and submit them to Middle East Operations (MEO) Quality for required action.
Key Responsibilities:
Local (100%)
• Provide expert Technical assistance to Field team & dealers on all escalated technical assistance requests by dealers
• Review all open Technical cases including follow-up with respective Area Technical and Warranty
• Manager (ATWM) / dealers to ensure early closure on timely basis to ensure customer satisfaction
• Liaison with Platform Engineering for resolving technical issues & support in developing local fixes
• Drive MEO product Quality improvements through analysis of Product Information Reports (PIR) submitted by dealers & define root cause before escalation to Quality for improvements and support any engineering activities/Investigations for problem resolution
• Review Monthly Technical Assistance Center (TAC) & Quality updates & publish to dealer including defining action required for addressing customer concerns
• Conduct & support any Engineering activities, case studies, Investigations and provide detailed report to Platform for problem resolution
• Assist Field Team in identifying warranty waste & reducing warranty costs by providing the most cost effective TAC case solutions and repair recommendations
• Proactively investigate emerging issues or repeat concerns
• Provide technical support on Spare Part related queries & claims to Middle East Parts & Distribution Centre (MEDC)
• Provide technical support as required by other functions/ departments in validating regional requirements.
• Support ATWM s in understanding complex technical issues & also offer on the job training
• Act as a level 3 escalation for the intermittent/repeated diagnostics that may require field visit/data gathering

Knowledge and Experience:
• Min 8-10 years professional experience in automotive technical service area or similar position with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience on GM vehicles
• In depth knowledge of automotive technology, engineering principles as well as expertise in vehicle servicing practices/methods & standards with hands on experience in a similar role
• Good insights to dealer operations, warranty policies & procedures and consultative experience on technical issues/cases
Education:

Job Description
For the assigned entities, lead cash positioning, and timely accounts funding. Lead weekly, monthly payments and liquidity forecast and analysis. Assist in working capital optimization leveraging on structured Trade Finance Instruments. Support in export finance related activities and credit management. Oversee treasury process risk management and recommend improvements to ensure adequate controls over the company assets are
maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- For the assigned entities, lead liquidity forecast and variance analysis process.
- Lead daily cash positioning, ensure disbursement activities are followed as per the set guidelines.
- Prepare consolidated daily cash report and ensure target cash balances are maintained.
- Assist in managing wholesale finance and play supporting role in evaluation new opportunities.
- Ensure Standby and Letter of Credit are timely issued/ renewed and comply with the terms and conditions set in the GM Policy.
- Monitor Letter of Credit monetization process and ensure timely reconciliation of interest charges, bank fees and re-bills.
- Lead improvements in onboarding / offboarding of customers from treasury perspective, assist in review of terms of sales, incoterms and payment methods.
- Monitor credit limits and prepare policy exceptions requests as needed.
- Prepare monthly analysis and management reporting for submission to Corporate Treasury.
- For the assigned entities monitor back office treasury activities and ensure urgent manual cheques accurately processed and within the agreed metrics.
- Support in bank mandates management, ensure signatories and bank accesses are maintained as per the approved matrix and delegation of authority.
- Prepare internal and external reporting and timely submission to Treasury Centers, banks, auditors.
- Perform periodic desk procedures testing and recommend improvements.
- For the assigned entities, maintain Business Continuity Plan up to date and assess risks metrics.
- Regional Treasury Center back up: when required perform cash positioning and forex trades.
- Support in Order to Cash risk management process and recommend improvements.
- Lead weekly calls with back office operations to resolve issues, vendor/customer escalations.
- Assist in the documentation for onboarding with banks and account opening/closing.
Special projects/tasks:

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies
Knowledge and Experience:
- 5 + years’ work experience in a multinational company in treasury or controllers’ group.
- Dealing with banks and banking compliance through email and telephone.
- Experience in dealing with all kind of banking documentation.
- Prior experience in audit and /or credit management would be an advantage.
- Proficient understanding of SAP and Treasury Management System functionalities.
- Track record in writing requests for approval /management reports.
- Prior experience in accounts payable, receivables and treasury accounting.
