Billing Specialist, Finance & Accounting

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Dubai Finance team for a Billing Specialist with proven background in client invoicing.

Working in a department of 12 supporting the Middle East, Africa & India regions of FTI Consulting, this role is ideally suited to someone with professional services expertise. Important to highlight is that this role requires constant interactions with very senior individuals in the organisation, and therefore, requires crisp communication skills, high level attention to details and a best-in-class client service attitude.

The Billing Specialist position reports to the Assistant Manager – Corporate Accounting and is responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of all client and intercompany billing across various FTI business segments.

What You’ll Do

  • Review client project setup is accurate and reflects the billing information recorded in the letter of engagement – Billing address, rates, discounts, vat implications.
  • Responsible for raising draft invoices and liaising with the business to improve accuracy to reduce manual amendments during the billing phase.
  • Finalisation of client invoices once approved by client facing team members.
  • Perform write offs, rate changes, narrative amendments, credit notes where applicable.
  • Ensure the billing/invoicing month end close process is completed timely and accurately.
  • Document billing/invoicing internal controls and procedures where necessary.
  • Enforce and comply with the documented internal controls assigned to billing/invoicing processes.
  • Serve as a billing/invoicing contact for both internal and external auditors.
  • Perform responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high level of quality and professionalism.
  • Link with business contacts to check the accuracy of pricing and volumes that impact invoice values.
  • Contribute to the month end closing deadlines and perform VAT reconciliations for the invoices issued.

  • Accounting qualifications are beneficial

  • Proficient in in Word and Excel

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Elite Enterprise (or other billing/accounting systems)
  • Experience of working with high volumes, multi currencies in an EMEA/Asia environment.
  • Knowledge of VAT in the EMEA & India regions #LI-MD1

Human Resources Administrative Assistant(Temporary) | Delta Partners | Dubai
United Arab Emirates, United Arab Emirates, Dubai Media City

This is an entry level position to join a highly focused, fast moving and dynamic Talent & Development Team.  This position forms an integral support part of the team and there is no end of learning and growth that can be gained.  We are looking for someone who is a fast learner, can think on their feet and is ready for a challenge.  Our office is based in Media City, Dubai where we work three days from the office per week.  Interview process will consist of 3-4 rounds of interviews, targeting a mid/end of October onboarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly reports (i.e. project staffing sheet, BDV distribution, KPIs, etc)
  • Prepare monthly timesheets & staff utilization reports
  • Create and distribute formal staffing communications
  • Compile and present relevant CVs for project proposals upon request
  • Maintain consultant skills database (including CVs updated & uploaded onto the intranet)
  • Update and maintain project codes across all business lines
  • Coordinate the project wrap-up and kick off process, ensuring close coordination with other HR team members and the Intelligence Unit
  • As part of the project wrap and company evaluation cycle, ensure project evaluations & 360s are triggered for each project/consultant
  • In conjunction with the Immigration team, support consultants in obtaining necessary visas for their projects, alerting the wider staffing team of any delays, problems and proactively flagging potential issues
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the HR function within Delta Partners

Experience and skills:

  • Excellent level knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel (it is a must), PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in a similar role as an HR Administrator/Assistant
  • Previous experience in a professional services firm would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work proactively whilst also taking advice and direction from direct supervisor
  • Ability to interact with other members of the business as well as external parties
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively whilst maintaining high-quality service
  • Ability to cope with deadlines and work under pressure
