Digital Solution Architect
Accountability:
- Preparation and timely delivery of all technical deliverables with respect to the solution
- Ensuring that all design elements meets the requirements from the customer
- SPOC for all the technical delivery teams from the subcontractors/vendors reviewing design, software and hardware deliverables for quality and completeness
- Owning the total responsibility of the complete architecture for the solution being delivered to the customer
- Translates functional requirements into the architecture for that solution and describing it through architecture and design
- Call out risks and issues appropriately and proactively to resolve blockers and ensure timely delivery of agreed business outcomes
- Delivery of the services as per the timelines defined in the project plan
- Resolving or assisting in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; adopt the methods defined by the PMO to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision when necessary.
Activities:
- Prepare and own the technical design and architecture for the digital solutions being delivered as part of the project
- Prepare data collection templates for gathering all required data for configuring the solution
- Prepare acceptance test plans in coordination with the customer stakeholders and communicate it effectively to the sub-contractors/vendors
- Timely delivery of design documents for the smart services to the PMO
- Preparation and timely delivery of all technical deliverables with respect to the smart services to the PM
- Ensure that all design elements meet the requirements received by the customer
- Perform the role of the design architect for all envisioned reports, processes and GUIs/dashboards for the smart services
- Act as the collaborator between the Siemens project team and the in house/3rd party software vendors to translate the requirements from the customer to all the design stakeholders from the vendors
- Preform weekly technical review of all the deliverables being prepared by the solution developers/vendors
- Report any deviations or variations coming from either the customer or the vendor to the PM for timely intervention and remediation
- Receive the solution build from all the sub-contractors or vendors and run testing with each of them to ensure the system meets the quality required in the acceptance criteria
- Own the technical responsibility for the smart services as listed in the Siemens scope of work;
- Software delivery and installation for the applicable smart services
- High level design document
- Low level design document
- Test cases for;
- Functional acceptance testing
- User acceptance testing
- Data gathering and configuration of the software services
- Installation, testing and commissioning of the hardware components required for the smart services
- Support the timely build, installation, testing and commissioning of all the elements as listed in the contract document
- Forecast and report the probable issues and risks to the smart services delivery due to new requirements, bugs, or delays in sub-contractor deliveries to the PMO
- Ensure the delivery of the listed services adheres to the methodology defined for the project by the governance/PMO
- Attend weekly/monthly internal steering committee meeting and present technical deliverable progress, issues, risks and mitigations to the committee
Minimum Experience:
- 10+ year experience in SDLC for end user facing products. In depth understanding of BRS, HLD, LLD, FAT, UAT and H2O processes for software delivery
- 7+ years hands on experience in software build, implementation, testing and hand over to support projects for end user facing software.
- ITIL certification and experience in delivering software and IT integration projects
- 7+ year’s experience in running requirements gathering workshops and functional/user testing workshops with the end customer
- Experience in bug/issue management on the delivered software to seek successful UAT sign off
- Experience in using issue management tools like JIRA to efficiently manage the software testing and user testing process
- Experience in IOT systems integration and delivery is a plus
- Ability to build, manage and update project plans for the main program and the sub programs with every solution vendor
- Ability to understand the overall architecture and responsibilities of the 3rd party vendors to efficiently manage the delivery to the customer
- Ability to efficiently track the requirements, use cases and UI design components against the delivered scope to manage the change management process and raise CRs as needed.
