DGCX commenced trading in November 2005 as the regions first commodity derivatives exchange and has become today, the leading derivatives exchange in the Middle East. DGCX is a subsidiary of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a strategic initiative of the Government of Dubai, with a mandate to enhance commodity trade flows through the Emirate by providing the appropriate physical, market, financial infrastructure and services required.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for undertaking daily tasks to compile and publish management information to a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring a high degree of completeness and accuracy. Additionally, ensuring that Member performance (Market Maker, Liquidity Provider, Volume Discount and any other fee waiver/rebate programme is monitored efficiently and effectively and that payments made/waived are correct. Also, to process vendor invoices and receivables and member billing. To assist with projects across the company as and when required. The job holder will be required to be the main point of contact for queries with regard to the underlying programme, Member and vendor billing as well as performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce management information on daily/weekly/monthly basis, as required – e.g. volume, value, open interest, number of transactions, on member, product segment and total market basis.
- Information to be provided to the Board (monthly), EXCOM, CEO, Directors, and staff as appropriate.
- Undertake regular reviews of all management information that is produced to ensure continued relevance and amend as appropriate.
- Contribute to Corporate Overview (aka pitch book).
- Identify opportunities to provide such additional MI that will assist the Sales team in developing new business opportunities and the Product team to help identify new products.
- Ensure details of agreed programmes are correctly communicated to the Trading & Surveillance (T&S) team to allow effective monitoring of performance.
- Using reports from T&S, ensure monitoring is undertaken of all fee rebate/waiver programmes.
- Produce monthly reports detailing individual member performance.
- Act as central contact point for Members with queries relating to the underlying programmes and day-to-day performance.
- Coordinate with internal departments, members and vendors on a periodic basis and collate the billing information.
- Calculate charges, raise bills through the billing system and email invoices.
- Ensure accuracy by cross referencing billing data against internal data, calculations and invoices.
- Follow up for receivables.
- Respond to requests for additional management information, whether ad hoc requests or additional routine reports for management decision making.
- Provide cost-effective and efficient solutions.
Role Requirements:
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce or Statistics.
- At least 4 years of experience, preferably in an exchange or clearing house environment.
- Knowledge of exchange-traded and cleared business preferably commodities and Currency Futures.
- Advanced Excel, strong overall computer skills, familiarity with handling large amounts of data, excellent written skills and analytical skills.
- Accuracy, ability to work to deadlines, multi-task and be willing to continuously review tasks.
