Your primary field of responsibility
- Implement a defined investment strategy.
- Gather and validate financial information relevant to the securities or derivatives market
- Communicate with counterparties related to dealing in securities
- Research and analysis as part of advising on investments or other regulated activities
- Performs due diligence on investment opportunities. Collates and organizes general corporate materials, company financials and other information for management review Reviews company information to highlight any potential issues
- Prepares and reviews exhibits and presentation materials to highlight investment opportunities to fund managers. Ensures data is presented accurately
- Analyses financial models and provides data for investment recommendation reports
- Attend client meetings, as part of due diligence
- Your primary task and responsibility is to assist other team members in the investment process and due diligence. In addition, the analyst will provide support on investment compliance and marketing functions.

Main duties/responsibilities of the role: Funds – Accounting, Valuation, Tax, Audit
Responsibility for the fund/ mandate NAV processes (plausibility and control of NAV and fund accounting bookings)
Daily/ weekly/ monthly NAV review and sign off of NAV packs (estimates and final)
Oversight policies and procedures
Performance analysis and fee calculations (management and performance)
Review and approval of monthly expenses – custody, admin, manager.
Responsible for valuation committee deliverable
Policy and procedures:
Business level valuation committee: Questionnaires for monitoring valuation risk, minutes of meetings, pricing support files etc.
Reporting requirements to vertical and global valuation committees
Department specific controlling tasks over pricing
Point of contact for audit (Year end audit) and tax (ongoing tax procedures and Y/E audit)
Ownership of internal approval processes with audit and tax advisors Reporting
Regulatory
Provision and sign off of relevant regulatory reporting data relating to AUMs and fees per mandate for the various monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the QFCRA (done by Financial Accounting)
Responsible for monthly product returns
Fund/ mandate reporting
Fund side letters (MENA Fund/ Frontiers Fund, QIA and CSFB)
Update Side letter control sheets for both funds, to monitor reporting deadline and ensure reports are sent out on a timely basis
Review weekly and monthly NAV estimates along with MO recon and approve to release to Investors
Work in conjunction with the Investment team to produce liquidity And exposure reporting and send to Investors
Provide formatted data to team creating the Monthly Fact sheet for both Funds and send to see Investors with commentary. Liaise with Investor Services to send Factsheet to prospective fund clients
Create and compile quarter reports, seek internal approvals before releasing to Investors
Weekly and monthly NAV reporting
JVA/ OGR reporting
Monthly, quarterly and annually
Manage control sheet and ensure reports are sent out on time Ad hoc projects
Ad-hoc requests (e.g. expenses analyses, business analyses, etc.)
Support local new business projects as well as strategic and product initiatives with finance expertise and being the interface to other finance related parties e.g. Financial Accounting, Treasury, Tax etc.
Your Profile
Prior practical accounting experience in a financial institution or professional services firm, within a Fund Accounting position or similar.
Ability to effectively communicate with service providers and colleagues on a day to day basis and work as a team member
Ability to consistently work accurately under pressure
Previous experience and knowledge of accounting and fund administration
Preferably professional accounting qualification
Highly numerate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
