ChampionX has an immediate need for an Accounting and Controlling Supervisor to join our Regional Finance team in Dubai UAE. In this role you will assist towards Department and Company goals while taking ownership of all daily, monthly and annual finance tasks assigned to you. You will report to the Finance Manager.

What You Will Do:

• Supervise month end closure procedures and activities for specific legal entities/branches in MENA region, coordinating with all stakeholders, country local finance, to complete books of accounts (local as well as US GAAP), reconcile and report in HFM/EPM as per corporate requirements.

• Managing reporting numbers through HFM/EPM tool.

• Balance sheet examination through preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliation on monthly basis.

• Managing VAT Filing for UAE and supervising for other regional legal entities

• Support on SOX assessment and reporting.

• Ensure Internal Controls are implemented without any exception and perform self-assessment. Manage all sections of Accounting and Controlling.

• Managing monthly management accounts reporting supported with all the back-ups, balance sheet recon, monthly P&L trend analysis and variance analysis etc.

• Managing weekly/monthly/quarterly cash flows with the team and managing other day to day treasury/banking related activities.

• Handling day to day accounting and controlling activities and coordination with stakeholders on adhoc queries.

• Managing Intercompany balance reporting including reconciliation, mark-up elimination, allocation, etc.

• Support on US GAAP Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting, including, but not limited to, working capital, cash flow, analytical reviews, taxation

• Business partnering with company’s stakeholders such as Commercial Finance, FP&A, Supply chain finance, HR, Plant and Procurement to meet their expectations.

• Support the finance manager in ad hoc reporting requirements.

• Facilitation of Internal and External audit, ICV audit, ESR and annual Group audit reporting.

• Initiate and maintain inter-departmental and cross-company relationships

• Review and support on the implementation of company’s policies and procedures.

• Work ethically at all times to ensure the company remains compliant to all local, national and international legislation.

• Travel to countries within the Region, as per company’s requirements, to meet our internal teams and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Professional qualifications desired (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with outstanding communication skills

• 10-12 years’ experience in a similar role Accounting/Finance and Audit role

• Balance sheet and P&L reconciliation and variance analysis experience

• Ability to manage a team of 6-8 people, work under pressure to meet deadlines

• Hands-on attitude and able to prioritize work and advice the team on best course of action to meet company’s objectives

• At least 3-4 years of supervisory experience.

• Keep Internal/SOX controls while performing day to day duties.

• Detailed knowledge and experience working in IFRS/US GAAP (including implementation); be able to effectively manage day to day accounting activities; strong knowledge on Record to Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay business cycles

• Good in soft skills

• Result oriented and supporter of accounting and finance best practices

• Positive attitude is paramount

Preferred Experience:

• FX Exposure reporting

• Demonstrated ability of managing small teams, dealing with different stakeholders, and able to plan in advance to deliver the work.

• Minimum 8-12 years of full-time experience preferable with US MNC

• SAP/Iscala experience preferred and would be an advantage
