About the role

We are currently looking for an established accounting professional. The main role of the Senior Accountant is to perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards related to general accounting, general ledger, projects, and / or government accounting.

Other responsibilities  include:

• Compiles and maintains accounting statements, reports, general ledger accounts, cost revenue reports, balance sheets, and / or bank statement reconciliations in order to ensure smooth functioning of the processes.
• Monitors account entries and control activities to ensure accuracy of information. Support monthly closing.
• Assists on projects, and internal and external audits to ensure quality of project and timely completion.
• Prepares basic financial analysis to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
• Maintains and collects Cash Receipts and Payment, forwards the supporting’s to the shared services team to book it.
• Facilitates the communication between offshore AP team (shared service), operation, and vendors.
• Prepares and reviews of payment documents, drive timely payment.
• Performs periodic reporting in Dhareeba tax portal (contracts, withholding tax) on timely basis.

Requirements 

As a minimum you must have:

• Good work organization/detail oriented
• Time management
• Min 3 years accounts payable accounting experience, preferably with audit background
• problem identification and resolution skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English and Arabic is highly appreciated.
• ERP Experience, preferable SAP
• Bachelor in Accounting/Finance or related.
