Mid-Level All-Source Analyst – Qatar
Provides analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability. Prepares assessments of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Proficient in utilizing standard computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development; Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills; Be capable of effectively operating as a member of an analytical team from a remote location in support of CJOA-A requirements; Briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information

The Data Analyst / Engineer role with focus on supporting clients, by serving the data driven needs from current data platforms and processes.
The Data Analyst / Engineer role works as part of a client side team that defines and resolves complex data collection, analysis and integration issues (i.e. ETL – Extract, Transform and Load design and development ) to make data and information available as part of a large scale analytical & data platform.
The Data Analyst / Engineer will form part of the Daytona support team and perform day to day support tasks.
The Roles & Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in data investigation, manipulation and analysis techniques supporting the pattern finding and presentation of statistical information on a diverse range of customer databases and data sets to understand how they can be utilised in a data fusion solution.
- Good understanding of database, data storing and data manipulation solutions and techniques, supported by proficient coding / data querying skills.
- Data profiling and investigating to understand potential entities and relationships that can be established across numerous and diverse data sets.
- Strong consulting ethos, understanding different requirement elicitation and able to translate “business request” into “technical data speak”.
- Designing and detailing extract transform and load strategies and routines that will contribute to overall ETL and system level architecture of the solution.
- Models data requirements, data sources and data flows to bring order and structure to programmes of work.
- Excellent understanding of logical and physical Data modelling and design.
- Understands how to add value to data – for example through data cleansing and data quality analysis.
- Understands categories of products (and individual examples) that can be used to collect, integrate, store, visualise and govern data and metadata.
- Comfortable working with and navigating Oracle/SQL databases and constructing queries to perform the analysis.
- Takes ownership of one or more areas of work including planning, identifying risks and regular reports to the project manager or client.
- Engages with client stakeholders to understand and document the existing data landscape:

- Has a good understanding of available Open Source software and COTS tools enabling the E2E processing of data, and evaluates potential solutions, demonstrating and commissioning selected products in a range of areas, including:

- Designs ETL frameworks and standards for specific ETL programmes and projects.
- Develops and tests the re-usable components of an ETL framework for specific ETL programmes and projects.
- Undertakes the role of developer, ensuring the quality and assurance of all ETL code and testing.
- Maintains and applies up to date, specialist knowledge of database concepts (including unstructured, NoSQL and ”big data” platforms), object and data modelling techniques.
- Takes account of industry specific requirements (e.g. geocoding, for geographic information systems).
- Understands data-related performance issues.
- Understands data services, data security issues, “privacy by design” and Information Assurance principles.
- Supports mission critical systems that can operate up to 24×7
- Monitor application error logs, system usage and usage trends and report issues to the client and identify/correct anomalies when discovered
- Monitor automated processes and take action as appropriate to resolve any issues.
