Purpose of the Job

Well organized, able to handle stress, with experience in quoting, customer service and operations.

Knowledge of local and international requirements and regulations. Focal Point of Contact with clients for freight related requests. Follow the end to end shipment cycle, maintain and retain customers profiles and existing business. Procure the best rates from the airlines after identifying the best solution for the customer.

Job Responsibilities

Identify the correct type and number of required equipment
Provide Freight solution to the customer
Develop relation with the customer
Handle freight enquiries, quotations and coordination with local and international clients
Provide support for the sales, to quote client and Follow on business awarded and lost business
P&L monitoring and Job invoicing
Support client for any claim, payment issues or pending shipment
Manage shipment from origin to destination to ensure customers’ satisfaction
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders internally
Negotiate rates with carriers, agents, offices and service providers
Achieve the overall freight numbers for the customers assigned
Report any failure to the line manager and ensure client is updated on time manner
Capability to handle freight forwarding operations & customer service independently without supervision
Maintaining daily and regular reports
Ensure improvement in on time delivery performance of the tradelanes serviced by Aramex
Ensure Cargowise adoption & milestone status update integrity is 100%
Monitor & manage liner relations on a station level for a better buying power and lead negotiation of Adhoc or contracted rates to provide more competitive rates to customers
Coordinate with regional pricing desk for RFQs, projects & tenders whenever required

Job Requirements (Experience and education)

Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field
3-4 years of relevant working experience in the Sea Freight Forwarding industry
Knowledge about global tradelanes, liners & sea freight solutions
Experience in Customer service and handling Key business client, airline & rate negotiation
Cargowise experience preferred
Excellent MS office skills: Word, Excel and Power Point
Good commands in professional emails writing

Support the Country Manager and Regional HR Business Partner in implementing the company HR & Training strategy and initiatives.

Provide managers with the necessary tools and knowledge to manage their people in line with our performance management guidelines; providing constructive feedback, career growth guidance
Contribute to the development of the wider HR strategy and work closely with the station manager and Regional HR Team to ensure consistent and coordinated services across the station
Partner with the station manager and functional heads to identify and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes, resulting in a proper manpower plan
Lead the implementation of the manpower plan and ensure vacancies are managed and filled in line with the approved budget and executed as per the Talent Acquisition process
Drive the front line hiring process specially during peak season
Provide market insights on talent, engagement trends to ensure Aramex Bahrain is an employer of choice
Drive the Employer Brand locally
Define and lead projects based on business needs related to reward and recognition plans, employee engagement plans and compensation and benefits
Run employee engagement surveys and generate an action plan to close the gaps identified from the survey
Lead the performance management and talent development processes including setting individual KPIs, performance appraisals, succession planning, IDPs, Future Leaders Pipeline
Ensure that all HR policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and continue to reflect both up-to-date employment law and best practice.
Work closely with the Regional HRBP and Country Manager to analyze market benchmark and make recommendations on best market practices
Manage day-to-day activities and employee relations at the station level – grievance, company policy and labor law adherence and

Qualifications, Skills and Educational Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field
Experience managing the relationship with the General Federation of the Bahrain Union
Solid practical experience and full understanding of the local labour law
People management experience.
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
Able to prioritize and properly manage workload
Proficient in MS Office
