POSITION: PORTER / AMERICAN HOSPTIAL DUBAI HILLS CLINIC
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks ensuring effective functioning of the area.
Follows the chain of command in reporting incidents or concerns.
Prioritizes workload and completes correspondence in a timely manner.
Provides information to prospective customers and hospital staff by answering all specific inquiries regarding patients’ queries.
Ensures safe working environment through strict compliance with Hospital Policy and Procedure regarding safety, infection and security.
Promotes incident, customer complaint reporting to improve patient and family care.
Answers phone call in a polite and cordial manner. Maintains proper telephone etiquette.
Escorts patient upon admission and discharge as needed.
Escorts patient within the hospital premises if need arise.
Assists with Information Desk duties as required.
Collects and delivers lab samples as directed.
Acts appropriately on assigned areas of duty.
Assists patients in moving their luggage during admission to their assigned room and upon discharge.
Answers patient’s queries regarding location of hospital facilities.
Maintains accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hospital to direct visitors to correct locations.
Answers assigned mobile within three ring using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
Remains in assigned post position, maintaining correct posture.
Monitor and maintain appearance of lobby and clinic waiting areas.
Makes sure the wheelchairs are available near the information desk.
Helps the patients/visitors if requested with loading/ unloading luggage into and out of their vehicles.
Assists disabled patient and visitors if requested into and out of their vehicles.
Participates in staff meetings as assigned.
Monitors and maintain tidiness and organization of all work areas.
Complies with policies for personal and patient safety for provision of healthcare associated infections. Assists with maintaining cleanliness of the waiting areas. Ensures that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean & organized at all time.
Shares knowledge and skills with colleagues and others.
Reports equipment failure, safety and security issues, and or/reduction of supply inventory to PRR Supervisor/Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
High School National Diploma
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Excellent English verbal/written communication skills.
Exposure to / experience with customer service principles
Knowledge of Arabic desirable.

ASSISTANT PHYSIOTHERAPIST
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists the Physiotherapist conduct and provide a patient care and in developing a physiotherapy care plan using treatment techniques without or with the utilization of assistive medical devices and/or medical equipments to promote patient’s physical wellness that includes the ability to move, to prevent or reduce pain, to enable and restore function and prevent physical disability. In addition, work along with other individuals and/or multi-disciplinary team to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
Provide physiotherapy services with the direct supervision of the Senior Physiotherapist and/or limited to the Physiotherapy Assistant scope of practice to patients according to an established treatment care plan which is prescribed by the Consultant and/or the Physician and agreed upon by the patient and/or the patient’s relative following the clinical policy and procedures of the department. Provide assistance during a clinical procedure performed by the Physician, the Physiotherapist, the Occupational Therapist, the Nurses and other medical staff whenever required.

Must have:
- Bachelor Degree of Science in Physiotherapy and/or Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy.

- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience post certification as a junior Physiotherapist.

Under the direction of the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), the Project Manager will lead the execution of some of the most complex and niche projects within the American Hospital Dubai. Will be responsible for planning, managing and monitoring expansion projects for the Hospital from inception through implementation, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within the budget. Will be leading cross-functional teams, accountable for defining and implementing projects. The role is intended to manage and adapt continuously to project goals. This highly collaborative role will need to work closely with all departments, accomplish project objectives through constant planning and evaluating of project activities.
