Senior Online Campaign Executive
Al Jazeera Media Network, a leading international news broadcaster, is seeking to hire an innovative and passionate, Arabic and English-speaking marketing professional, for the position of Senior Online Campaign Executive.
The successful candidate, will have digital media buying experience from the advertising & media industry, will be part of a dynamic team of brand and marketing specialists based in Doha, Qatar.
Contract Type: Freelance
Specific Responsibilities:
- Set up, execute, optimize and report on Al Jazeera’s paid digital marketing campaigns
- Optimize Al Jazeera’s digital media buying strategies, in order to efficiently achieve objectives and KPIs while being cost effective
- Work closely with marketing colleagues (campaign managers) on running, optimizing and reporting on their campaigns
- Engage with partners such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn etc. to troubleshoot campaigns and stay up to date with the latest products and ad formats.
- Monitor and administer budgets assigned for marketing activities & campaigns
- Develop intelligent segmentation plans while implementing A/B tests to improve performance
- Manage and Monitor budgets and channel allocation with an emphasis on optimizing ROI and driving down cost related metrics
- Work with analytics to create and maintain performance dashboards, and perform ad-hoc analyses requested by management
- Support marketing colleagues to verify invoicing received from platforms. When necessary work with finance directly to align invoicing
- Keep up to date with industry innovations and technologies and test relevant tools and ad formats
- Safeguard Al Jazeera’s brand identity across all output and ads produced by Al Jazeera Media Network digital mediums, in accordance with agreed Al Jazeera Media Network’s guidelines
- Regularly extract data to be analyzed, provide campaign learning & recommendation backed up by data.
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in the digital marketing field
- Excellent written and spoken English & Arabic
- Experience operating paid marketing campaigns on social media channels across multiple markets
- Able to run multiple campaigns with various KPIs simultaneously
- Able to work under pressure and willing to work in a dynamic, international and fast-changing environment
- Hands on experience setting up campaigns on GoogleAds, Google360, Facebook Ad Manager, Twitter Ads etc
- Flexible working hours, ability to work weekends during critical campaigns (hours will be logged and deducted from weekly required hours).

Summary:
Al-Jazeera Arabic is looking for editors to supervise coverage for our ambitious AJ-Reyada, the network’s new online vertical covering entrepreneurship, innovation, start-ups, younger leaders, money and business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate and make content, often from English, into Arabic
- Accurately review translated stories provided by freelancers
- Receive stories and communicate daily with freelancers/writers for edits and changes to their stories
- Help maintain AJ-Reyada page with a constant feed of stories daily and on scheduled weekends.
- Participate in weekly editorial meetings, when needed, with reporters to discuss story pitches and assign stories.
- Frame news coverage to benefit the Middle East business community, rising leaders, with a focus on innovation, tech trends, start-ups and entrepreneurship.
- Generate story ideas by monitoring news releases, the start-up ecosystem in the Middle East and social media.
- Edit and write their own compelling, by-lined stories based on strong news writing, journalistic ethics and story structure.
- Oversee deadline calendar to ensure reporters file stories on time
- Represent AJ-Reyada at forums, meetings, events and with partner news outlets.
You will have:
- Minimum BA in Journalism, Media, Communication, or other related fields
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in reputable international newsroom.
