ASSISTANT HOUSEPARENT (FEMALE)
ACS International Schools is looking for a female Assistant Houseparent to join the team at ACS Cobham. The purpose of this role is to assist the Houseparent in managing the boarding house before and after school, including during evenings and weekends. You’ll also be part of an emergency call overnight duty rota. This role involves working to ensure the happiness, well-being, safety and wellbeing of female students.
Woodlands House is an extraordinary place to work, a diverse global community housing over 100 teenagers aged 16-18 who join us from countries all over the world.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Houseparent to join our team to help support and enrich the lives of our Boarders. Although our Boarding Houses are co-educational, due to the residential nature of the role and scope of boarding responsibilities, the school can only consider applications from female candidates, as an ‘occupational requirement’ under the Equality Act 2010.
The successful candidate will have the experience and energy to relate to and support our diverse pupils. We are looking for someone who can relate well to teenagers and who can contribute to our Enrichment programme.
This is a part time role (24.5 hours/week), term time only. Meals are free when the school is in session.
The part time nature of this role makes it ideal for combining with personal study or another role within the school. We currently have some part time vacancies at ACS which are shown on our website, Applications from those planning a career in teaching are also welcome.
Accommodation is provided on our beautiful 128-acre campus. Staff have access to facilities including the gym, swimming pool, running track, tennis courts and woodland walks. The flat provided is a large studio flat with kitchen, en-suite bathroom and large outdoor balcony. The location of ACS gives easy access to Waterloo within 30 minutes. We have over 25 staff who live on campus who create a fun and enjoyable community.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: The Early Childhood Principal is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day management of a brand new, purpose-built campus for the Early Childhood Division. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNT ABILITIES / Leadership
- Leads the Early Childhood Division by promoting ACS’s Vision and Values, Philosophy and Ethos through the day to-day interactions with the ACS community.
- Demonstrate reflective leadership practice that values feedback.
- Collaboratively implement and evaluate policies and procedures to secure the highest standards of teaching and learning.

- Successful IB World School leadership experience with IB training preferred.
- Several years previous teaching experience required.
- Sound knowledge of, and experience in the PYP, as well as a thorough understanding of modern educational practices.

Under the direction of the MHS Librarian, the Library Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the MHS Library. They are responsible for the organization and circulation of library materials, assisting patrons and supervising students visiting the library.
Library Administration and Management:
- Manage circulation desk – check-in/check-out books and AV materials; update patron database; manage holds & reservations; and ensure library is monitored at all times.
- Assist library patrons in finding materials.
- Run reports; produce and distribute overdue notices.
- Assist with inventory, storage of books, resources, and supplies.
- Shelve books and other materials; shelf-read to ensure correct order.
- Oversee library copy machine and assist patrons with photocopying and printing needs.
